Rapid Gas Decompression (RGD) Lab
MFC has built our in-house test equipment in compliance with NORSOK M-710 standard, to which the RGD testing can be verified with. Therefore, MFC has the capability to supply sealing materials that are conformant to the NORSOK M-710 standard.
Rapid gas decompression is also well known as explosive decompression (ED) which is an important concern in oil and gas industry. This is a structure failure in the form of blistering, internal cracking and splits caused when the seal is exposed to rapidly changing pressure.
To resolve the safety concerns in the critical environments, the Norwegian petroleum industry established a series of NORSOK standards to ensure adequate safety and cost effectiveness for petroleum industry developments and operations. The NORSOK M-710 standard defines the requirements for non-metallic (polymer) sealing, seat, and back up materials for permanent use subsea, including well completion, X-mas trees, control systems and valves. This standard also applies to topside valves in critical gas systems.
MFC has built the in house test equipments based on the NORSOK M-710 standard in order to offer a better selection of material for our customers.

Research & Development
MFC is determined on research and development by not only investing advanced equipment for material R&D, but also personnel training and advanced testing equipment to archive or even exceed customers' needs.
MFC has built a very well equipped laboratory for material research and quality inspection via advanced testing equipment such as Thermogravimetric Analyzer, Rheometer, FT-IR Spectrometer, tensile strength, compression set, low-temperature testing machines. In 2007, MFC laboratory proudly obtained TAF certification. With the TAF laboratory, we have established a strong R&D team and developed a wide product range to supply our sealing solutions globally. MFC also adopt ASTM rubber testing method including hardness, material tensile strength, and compression set tests.
Not only do we provide advanced test equipment to meet customers' satisfactory, but we also contribute ourselves to overhead costs reduction to offer our customers competitive prices in market. In order to provide the competitive prices, MFC is also committed to costs reduction via leading in CNC machine to reduce tooling costs, ERP system to computerize management system and production system, which is offered by DSC (Data Systems Consulting), and material development. Simultaneously, MFC has also cooperated with Chang-Gung University to study continuous improvements and material development to design our own material and production procedures.
